Teeth-in-a-day

TEETH-IN-A-DAY™ is a revolutionary concept that can provide carefully selected patients with teeth on dental implants in one single procedure. This technology allows for collaboration between both the restorative doctor and your surgeon. This merging of knowledge and experience achieves not only increased safety, but also a more precise implant placement. In addition, the final prosthesis is fabricated prior to the surgery.

This computer-guided implant surgery is done in an arthroscopic fashion, often not requiring any reflection or stripping of tissues. This further benefits the patient in that there is less postoperative discomfort, less swelling and less bruising. Patients can often resume their normal activities the next day, smile and all.

The process can involve having a CAT scan taken of the patient’s jawbone. This CAT scan allows for the generation of a three-dimensional model of the jawbone that can then be used in virtual reality software to plan the implant placement without the patient being present. This can result in more accurate placement and less chair time for the patient at the surgery office.

For patients who require the removal of a failing front tooth, in many instances this same concept can be applied—and, much to the joy of our patients. In a single office visit, the failing tooth is removed, a dental implant is placed, and a custom-made natural appearing tooth is cemented to the implant. The patient leaves the office with a perfect, natural smile, and no one is the wiser that a tooth was ever removed!
